The Maryland
ArtSource Web site is a collaborative project of the Baltimore
Art Research & Outreach Consortium (BAROC) institution partners.
The purpose of Maryland ArtSource is to identify and make accessible
unique Maryland information resources to the citizens of Maryland
and to the world. Through this Web site, BAROC offers the public
access to a wide range of historical and cultural resources
as a contribution to education, research, and resource discovery.
As such, this Web site links to many other sites on the Internet.
The Baltimore Art Research & Outreach Consortium is not
responsible for the content or changes in content of the sources
to which this site links.
Copyright of Collections
Unless otherwise noted, all materials that are part of this
Web site, including images, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs,
video clips, and written and other materials are copyrighted
and include trademarks, trade dress and/or other intellectual
properties owned, controlled or licensed by Maryland ArtSource,
the BAROC partner institutions, and others. Copyright information
is often found in the catalog records, finding aids, or metadata
that accompany digital collections. When possible, Maryland
ArtSource will provide information about copyright of the digital
collections that are accessible on the site. In most instances,
information about copyright can be found somewhere on the host
site for use of a particular digital collection. Please refer
to the host site of the digital collection you are interested
in for information about use and copyright of the collection.
Users should be aware that some materials in these digital collections
may be subject to additional restrictions enforced by the host
institution or may be protected by the U. S. Copyright Law (Title
17, U. S. C.) or by the copyright laws of other nations. Reproduction

Ownership and Management of Maryland ArtSource
The Maryland ArtSource Web Site is Proprietary to the BAROC
partners (collectively "BAROC"), and is managed and
maintained by the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) on its own
behalf and on behalf of BAROC. All rights are held by JHU and
permissions required herein must be obtained from JHU as the
acting agent for BAROC. All of the text, images, marks, logomarks
and other content of the Maryland ArtSource site ("Site
Content") are proprietary to JHU and/or BAROC and may be
used only as authorized herein. The term “Site Content”
as used herein does not include content of other sites to which
links are provided. BAROC authorizes you to view, download and
print the Site Content subject to the following conditions:
(1) You may only do so for your own personal and noncommercial
use;
(2) You may not remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary
notices that have been placed in or near the Site Content;
(3) You may not modify the Site Content;
(4) The pages and displays of the Maryland ArtSource site are
copyrighted by the Johns Hopkins University, and many marks
on the site are or may be registered service marks of JHU and/or
the BAROC partner institutions. Any displays or printouts of

BAROC makes no representation of any kind regarding the Site
Content or any portion thereof. All Site Content and all materials
are provided in "AS IS" condition, with no warranties
or representations of any kind, and BAROC expressly disclaims
any and all warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose. BAROC will not be held responsible for any direct,
indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of
or relating to the use of the information and materials linked
to or found on this Web site.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Although BAROC has made no effort to publish Maryland ArtSource
elsewhere, it is accessible in all fifty U.S. states and in
other countries due to its presence on the Worldwide Web. As
each of these states and countries have laws which may differ
from those of Maryland and from each other, and as you and BAROC
both benefit from establishing a predictable legal environment
in which to publish, access and use Maryland ArtSource, by publishing,
accessing, and/or using the sites you agree that all matters
arising from or relating to the use and operation of the sites
will be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without
regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that all
claims you may have arising from or relating to the operation
or use of BAROC Web sites will be heard and resolved in the

Link to Us
We thank you for your interest in linking to our site. Maryland
ArtSource's online logomark may be copied and displayed for
the sole purpose of linking to Maryland ArtSource's Web site
from Web sites operated by other non-profit educational and
cultural organizations and institutions, including libraries
and museums. The link from your site should direct users to
the Maryland ArtSource home page. Any other use requires specific

Use of Maryland ArtSource Marks for Linking
